Service areas are also designed to help you make the most of your time and resources. Each exclusive service area is designed around a target of 250,000 living in single family homes and are defined by zip code.
In the Dallas-Fort Worth area there are 15 service areas servicing more than 100 zip codes. This applies to all brands; although some brands require multiple service areas to generate enough business for success. For example, one painting partner has exclusive rights to service six zip codes in the Plano area; some painters have more than one service area depending on abilities.
Some of our partner trades require multiple service areas to be successful. One example is garage doors; where a garage door service and installation brand may require a 3-5 service areas to be successful. Partners may service a referral or former client outside his service area. But he may not advertise or seek clients outside his exclusive service area. It is possible that one partner with the capabilities will provide service to all 15 service areas – it is also possible that he may provide for only one service area.
New partners may be given access to additional unassigned service areas as they build their service area up to capacity. It would be a rare occasion to see every service area occupied by every service type operating at full capacity. When a partner is too busy to pursue a lead in his area he may pass on it and another partner may pursue the lead. There are three key variables we consider; Service Type, Service Area(s), Capacity.
